This study aims to investigate how local media outlets in the Legal Amazon Zone report on infrastructure projects that cause major socio-environmental impacts, such as Ferrogrão, BR-319, and oil and potassium exploration in the Amazon. We analyzed the content and discourse of articles published in 2023 and 2024 in order to investigate how news is reproduced, who is the audience, and who owns the websites that published them. The aim was to understand the tensions between the discourses of environmental preservation and economic development.
