Book on the impact of misinformation on social media launched in Rio

The study was developed by 21 researchers from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in partnership with Senacom (National Consumer Affairs Agency) and analyzes the daily placement of fraudulent ads.


A study published in the book "Atingidos pelas Redes Sociais" addresses the impacts of misinformation on social media and how it affects Brazilians. The book launch took place in downtown Rio de Janeiro with academic representatives in attendance. The book was developed by 21 researchers from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in partnership with the National Consumer Affairs Agency (Senacom) and analyzes the daily placement of fraudulent ads that put consumers at risk.
