More than 100 illegal advertisements supporting Pablo Marçal (PRTB), a candidate for mayor of São Paulo, are circulating on TikTok despite a ban by the courts and the platform itself, according to a survey by NetLab, a laboratory at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
The study identified 108 paid advertisements circulating on the platform between May 1 and September 16, with content in which Marçal promises cash prizes to whoever releases the most cuts of videos of his interviews and lectures. In addition, there are also videos explicitly asking for votes for the former coach. The content has been viewed more than 1 million times.
