Researchers from NetLab UFRJ on the panel “Disinformation and Anti-Press Campaign” at IBA event in partnership with UNESCO


World Press Freedom Day Conference Art/Art: Huaui Roa

To commemorate World Press Freedom Day, celebrated on May 3, the International Broadcasting Association (IBA) held an event in parallel to the UNESCO Global Conference, the World Press Freedom Day Conference, between the 3rd and 4th of May.


This Saturday (05/04), the director of the Internet and Social Media Studies Laboratory at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (NetLab UFRJ), Marie Santini, spoke at the panel “Disinformation and Anti-Press Campaign” with the vice-president of WMcCann RJ and Marcio Borges, also a researcher at NetLab UFRJ.


The event, held in Santiago, Chile, invited several experts and researchers to debate topics such as violations of journalistic work, the impacts of Artificial Intelligence, the need to regulate digital platforms, as well as the accountability of big techs.
