Free courses (and fakes!): An analysis of misleading content about SENAC on the internet

The deliberate production and circulation of disinformation on the Internet goes beyond themes related to Science and Politics and has already reached companies and corporations.
Thus, in this research, we aim to identify and analyze the chain of disinformation that unfolds from the false advertisements that circulate about Senac's free courses on the Meta Advertising Network, especially on Facebook and Instagram.
Using Meta's ad library as a tool for data collection, the research identified that 95.1% of the daily sponsored posts about the offer of Senac's gratuity are false.
The results indicate that these ads are part of a coordinated chain of disinformation around the brand, with the aim of generating, through social networks, valid clicks to clandestinewebsites that function as digital advertising displays and, therefore, profit from access. from advertisements
