International Observatory on Information and Democracy analyzes the impacts and challenges of information in the digital age

The International Observatory on Information and Democracy presented this Wednesday (19), in Rio de Janeiro, the first global report on the challenges of the digital age.
How can we protect democracy from disinformation? And how big is the challenge that the world faces in times of social networks, algorithms and difficulty in separating reliable information from what is not?
Many questions. But what answers have we had so far on this? This was the mission of 60 experts from several countries, who analyzed more than 3 thousand scientific articles and technical reports on the subject. After a year and a half of research, the result is the first global report produced by the International Observatory on Information and Democracy, presented this Wednesday (19) in Rio.
